One of the largest ever individual regeneration projects seen in Scotland is underway with Greenock's iconic Grade 'A' Listed Sugar Shed building at it's heart. The £180m redevelopment of Inverclyde's historic James Watt Dock by James Watt Dock LLP, a joint venture urban regeneration company, will see the creation of state-of-the-art commercial, marina and leisure facilities set alongside modern residential and retail space. Over a 12 year period the redevelopment of the 107 acre dock will generate over £180m of public / private investment. Fairhurst will provide Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Consultancy Services to the project.

John is a Chartered Engineer and has built a strong reputation within the Scottish market, retaining a broad Client base within a variety of key sectors.
These sectors particularly include education, residential and Government areas with the latter involving the current SPS Prison upgrade and expansion programme.
John is a Partner with responsibility for market development and his Civil/Structural team in the Glasgow office whilst also supporting the other operational units.
