We are looking to recruit a civil/structural engineer who is nearing or has recently become Chartered, to join our Civil’s team in our Glasgow office. The role will involve working on a wide and varied portfolio of projects. Working as part of a team or independently as projects dictate you will have the opportunity to develop projects from their inception through to hand over to Clients, including the design, drafting of contract documents and contract administration.
You should be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the one or more of the following sectors:
• Bridge and Highway Structures
• Rail related structures

You should have a good working knowledge of current codes and standards relating to structural design, ability to undertake detailed design and FE analysis of structures is essential with experience in the use of LUSAS an advantage. Water/Drainage Engineer - Edinburgh office:

We are looking to recruit a civil engineer who is nearing or has recently become Chartered, to join our Infrastructure Team based in Edinburgh. The role will involve working on a wide and varied portfolio of projects primarily undertaking the design of infrastructure drainage and flood studies. Working as part of a team or independently as projects dictate you will have the opportunity to participate in the development of projects from their inception through to Client hand over.
You should be proficient and have experience in several or all of the following:
• Infrastructure drainage design (inc Micro Drainage, WinDes etc),
• SUDS design,
• Flood Risk assessment,
• Hydrology & Hydraulic modelling,
• Civil design of water related structures (inc reservoir remedial works), and
• Drainage Impact Assessments

Geotechnical Engineer - Edinburgh office:

Due to continued growth in highways infrastructure projects, Fairhurst is currently recruiting for it's Geotechnical Team in Edinburgh.
Current highways projects include the M8, M74 and M73 Motorway Improvements and the Dalry By-Pass for Transport Scotland together with other projects, including highways, general development and windfarms, working with Contractors and Developers.
